The Rose Garden extends along the slopes of the Aventine near the remains of the Palatine Hill, not far from the Circus Maximus and is home to about 1100 types of roses from worldwide. May and June are the best months to enjoy the colourful flowering. Its history, which mixes with the city and some interesting personalities, is also charming. If you want to know more, read it here.
No place is fresher than the catacombs, and those of Callisto also have a delightful park where you can relax before or after your visit… For sweltering days.
