Brilliant things to do

this Summer

Summer is hot, we all know, but let’s look at the bright side of things and take advantage of the longer days.

Summer in Italy means sitting out late in a piazza watching the world go by, enjoying a gourmet dinner and drinking a glass of fresh white wine on the banks of the Tevere river.

Summer means tomatoes, eggplant, basil, peaches and figs – all ingredients for  Italian delicatessen. And gelato to cool you as you explore the city streets.

28.05.22 – 04.09.22 ROBERT DOISNEAU. PARIS EN LIBERTE’. MUSEO DELL’ARA PACIS

Grouped thematically, the photographs on display retrace nearly a century of the history of the Ville Lumière. Taken from 1934 to 1991, they are an unparalleled memory of the city and of the great French photographer who died in 1994.

13.07.2022 – 29.01.2023 DOMIZIANO IMPERATORE, ODIO E AMORE. MUSEI CAPITOLINI

The exhibition itinerary, divided into 15 rooms, retraces the figure of Domitian, complex and unloved by his contemporaries and subsequently misunderstood by posterity due to the historical and literary sources which were essentially against him.

The analysis of material sources, especially epigraphic ones, has recently restored the image of an emperor attentive to good administration and relations with the army and the people, devoted to the gods and reformer of the morality of men.

A story that this exhibition helps to rewrite and understand.
