Born on May 1 as a time of international struggle of all workers, without geographical barriers, much less social, to assert their rights, achieve goals, to improve their condition.
"Eight hours, eight recreation, eight sleeping" was the slogan, coined in Australia in 1855, and shared by most of the organized labor movement of the early twentieth century. It opened the way for general claims and looking for a day
MAYDAY, precisely, in which all workers could meet to practice a form of struggle and to assert their autonomy and independence.
Without dwelling on the infinite wonders of a city whose heritage and history are the envy of the world, we point out that Rome offers some interesting events in the days of the weekend in question:

- La Casa di Goethe, Via del Corso, will host the exhibition until June 21 by Johann Martin von Rohden, great nineteenth century landscape
- Will close on May 3rd exhibition dedicated to the great English naturalist Darwin exhibition at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome
- Until May 24 the exhibition on Futurism at the Quirinal Stables
